An early romance ends leaving Sister Francis desperate. Her lover, Fr. Edward’s joins the Navy. She leaves the convent destitute, gets raped, gets pregnant and gets an abortion. A falsely accused priest, who is an x-lover of the Vicar General, commits suicide after he is arrested on false charges on the Bishop’s order. The Vicar turns on the Bishop and his attorney plots revenge.
