An early romance ends leaving Sister Francis desperate. Her lover, Fr. Edward’s joins the Navy. She leaves the convent destitute, gets raped, gets pregnant and gets an abortion. Edwards helps her, then disappears from her life. Twenty five years later they meet. Edwards is now a retired Navy Commander. He is the newly appointed pastor in town. The Archbishop has a Mafia brother-in-law and his own secrets. A Priest, Father Lazardo, is a serial molester and a buddy of the attorney who protects him and the Church. A falsely accused priest, who is an x-lover of the Vicar General, commits suicide after he is arrested on false charges on the Bishop’s order. The Vicar turns on the Bishop and his attorney plots revenge.
