Soporte

Published in 1915, this book presents a cogent and engaging biography of the English explorer who was saved by the Native American woman, Pocahontas—then established settlements in her country shortly after. Johnson effectively sifts through many of the apocryphal tales of Smith’s youth, while detailing the established facts of Smith’s life, with particular emphasis on his pioneering work in the colony of Virginia.
