Rossiter Johnson (1840–1931) was an American editor, poet, lexicographer, lecturer, and historian. He was the editor-in-chief of the fifty volume set of The World’s Greatest Books (1898-1901), and his works include The Great Events by Famous Historians (1904) and The Clash of Nations, its Causes and Consequences (1914).
