Now a retired neurologist, he was inspired to write The South Side of Queen when an elderly patient arrived at his office one day and announced, « I know who murdered your grandfather. » The book traces the histories of his family and the Roxy and Casino Theatres and includes his personal reminiscences about interactions with performers, patrons, politicians, and the police.
