Tentang Penulis

Jeremy Bentham, born to a London attorney, studied law at Lincoln’s Inn.  In 1772 he was called to the bar.  His first major work was A Fragment on Government (1776).  Bentham is best known for his support of utilitarianism and the development of welfarism.  He was also a advocate for the abolishment of slavery, equal rights for women, the decriminalization of homosexuality, animal rights, and the separation of church and state.
