About the author

Kate Ristau is a folklorist and the author of two middle grade series, Clockbreakers and Wylde Wings, and the young adult series, Shadow Girl. She is the Executive Director of Willamette Writers, a nonprofit organization for writers. You can read her essays in The New York Times and The Washington Post. In her ideal world, magic and myth combine to create memorable stories with unforgettable characters.
