Based on the true event of the author’s dwarf hamster, Roman, Who Has A Pet Hamster? recounts the day when Roman escaped from his enclosure, ate rat poison (left by landlord), and had an emergency vet visit. Who Has A Pet Hamster? introduces the basics of hamster care-housing, diet, health, and bonding. It features a Hispanic family, and talks about the harmful effects of rodenticides on the prey-predator ecosystem.

Tan Su En has a master’s degree in architecture but redirected her love for building to cartoon illustration. Currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Su En expresses her vibrant artistic style through her creation of children’s book illustrations and mascot design, as well as personalized character designs.
