Based on the true event of the author’s dwarf hamster, Roman, Who Has A Pet Hamster? recounts the day when Roman escaped from his enclosure, ate rat poison (left by landlord), and had an emergency vet visit. Who Has A Pet Hamster? introduces the basics of hamster care-housing, diet, health, and bonding. It features a Hispanic family, and talks about the harmful effects of rodenticides on the prey-predator ecosystem.

Tan Su En has a master’s degree in architecture but redirected her love for building to cartoon illustration.
