John Allen is the long-serving, now retired leader of the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team. He was instrumental in leading the team forward on all fronts including training, technical advances and funding. Born in 1942 in Glasgow he was, for many years, a practicing pharmacist in the Highlands.
