“This book is a study of Supernaturalism from a new point of view—as a Source of Income and a Shield to Privilege.” Sinclair, who named Jesus Christ as one of his heroes, takes aim at organized religion in this 1917 broadside. He also sketches a portrait of pre-World War I religious movements in the U.S.
