Published in 1920, this raw, angry, but keenly observed memoir details the author’s experiences as a World War I correspondent embedded with the troops of his native Britain.  Replete with horror and heroism, the book casts an unblinking eye on the follies and futilities of the ‘War to End All Wars.’
