You may be wondering why affiliates should bother with bonuses at all. Isn’t that the obligation of the vendor?
That makes sense if you want to compete on an equal footing with the other affiliates for the sale via their affiliate link. However, is that truly what you desire? Certainly not! You want to be in the very front. Additionally, it has been demonstrated that offering bonuses as an affiliate can result in a fivefold increase in affiliate sales.
You must convince your readers to click on YOUR affiliate link rather than another’s. This is particularly true these days, when people’s inboxes are clogged with dozens of marketers hawking them the same goods. What distinguishes you from the competition? Bonuses. That is exactly all there is to it. Unless the customer is a close friend, all they care about is which option provides them with the greatest value. And quite rightly so!
Thus, you design a simple landing page, add bonuses, and inform them at the top, 'Grab all the goodies on this page when you purchase 'product x’ using my link.’
However, you cannot simply add a bunch of incentives on that page and expect people to purchase via your link. You must do so in a manner that is consistent with the product you are marketing, which is what we will discuss next.
