’He’s Still Shooting, ' yelled his partner as Glover drove toward the man who had just fired his fourth shot into the night. The young game warden wasn’t informing Glover the violator was still shooting, as much as he was yelling you are driving me directly into the line of fire! He had a good point!
Wildlife law enforcement is dangerous. Although Glover had faced thousands of armed folks engaged in illegal activities, he never thought one of his most dangerous encounters would include a guy sitting in a rocking chair on his front porch in the middle of the night.
In He’s Still Shooting, Glover once again recalls the details of sometimes scary and sometimes hilarious encounters in the wild. In addition, there are a few accounts of just dealing with the public in general. Whether it be on the Little League field, dealing with drunk drivers, language barriers, rocket scientists or star gazers the encounters just kept coming.
In his follow up to Parables from Poachers, It’s Not Easy Wearing Green and Good Ole Boys Shooting Decoys, Glover details how every day or night had the potential for a new adventure. A few were heart-warming and several were heart stopping. Come along for a lot of stories you just can’t make up.
