Paul Martin is a Massachusetts native and earned a mechanical engineering degree from the UMass/Lowell, in 1992. Just six months later a car accident rendered him a below-knee amputee. Shortly thereafter he postponed his career as a sales engineer to pursue his athletic dreams … and never looked back. Paul became the first person to compete for four different national teams in skiing, hockey, triathlon and cycling. Paul continues to compete while his primary focus has shifted to public speaking and writing. He and his wife, Sharon, have three children and live in Colorado.
