Gerant is a homeless boy who the local town smith takes a risk with and starts as his apprentice, seeing his passion and potential. In learning his trade, Gerant stumbles across some ancient smithing lores that fuel his desire to make superior weapon blades that are lighter, stronger and more valuable. After his apprenticeship, he moves to The Capital, building his skills and knowledge, using the ancient lores which impart his blades with superior properties.
