Dr. Le Thi Thu Huong is a Senior Lecturer of Sustainable Urban Development master study program at Vietnamese-German University (VGU). She received Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science in Urban Environmental Management at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. Prior to that, she graduated Master and Bachelor in Architecture at the University of Architecture – Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Before working for VGU, Dr. Huong worked for AIT, Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES, Japan), and other international organizations in Thailand as a lecturer and researcher on urban studies. Her research interests cover different aspects and issues of urban development and management, such as the built environment, neighborhood and housing upgrading, urbanization and environmental management, urban-rural linkages, urban flooding and resilience, and so on.’
George Pomeroy is Professor of Geography – Earth Science at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. He received his Ph.D. in Public Administration and Urban Studies from the University of Akron (Ohio). His teaching and research interests are in the areas of environmental land use planning, community & land use planning, and urban geography. In addition to serving as Executive Director of the Asian Urban Research Association since 2005, he directed the Shippensburg University Center for Land Use, from 2005 to 2016. He serves on numerous local and regional boards, including two planning commissions and as a Trustee of The Partnership for Better Health, a philanthropic grant making group in South Central Pennsylvania.
