About the author


Robert Forman Horton (1855–1934) was a British writer. He was educated at Oxford, where he was later appointed a history lecturer. In 1880 he became a pastor of the Congregational Church. His numerous publications include works on theology and history, as well as biographies, including Alfred Tennyson: A Saintly Life.
