Support
My purpose for writing this book was to leave a piece of History for my family and friends. I hope they will enjoy the stories and appreciate the struggles of a typical country family. Thanks to all the wonderful people who have encouraged me, and gave me the will to finish the second book. Without this I would not have continued. It has been a struggle but a wonderful trip. I want to acknowledge my good friend Budd Gavel. He has been my proof reader and advisor. Thank you Budd for your guidance and the laughter we shared along the way. I want to thank my son Kendall Taylor for his Cartoons and a Special thanks to Veterans affairs Canada for permission to use their photo of the old Airplane on the front cover. Thanks to the museum of industry in Stellarton Nova Scotia for letting me use a photo of their Shopmobile. I must express my sincere thanks to all the great people at Trafford Publishing. They have been very patient and understanding. Life is about friends, family, and kind support. I am very fortunate to have had all of this.

About the author

Writing about music, something that has become a focal point in my life has, has been on my mind for a long time. I began this without any formal training; however, with the help of good friends, I have been able complete the task.

It has been a challenge, but it has also been a lot of fun. I felt there were many things that should be told about this group of amateur musicians. Not about their abilities as much as their success. We have proven that you do not have to be professionals in order provide good music to a lot of very thankful people.

I grew up in a rural area of Nova Scotia, Canada, in a small village called Upper Musquodoboit. I spent most of my life in the province and the last fifty years in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, with my wife, Vivian, and three sons: Corey with his wife, Karen; Kendall with his wife, Krista; and Joe with his wife, Rhonda. We also have four beautiful grandchildren: Courtney, Sarah, Rachael, and Chelsey. Most of my working career was spent with Canada Post, of which the latter years I worked in marketing and sales.
