Theatre in Education emerged in the mid-sixties as a unique hybrid of performance and child-centred learning. Or have the economics of schools, the post-National Curriculum educational philosophy and the lack of understanding from a new breed of teachers created an environment that has forced a mutation? Roger Wooster is a retired actor/teacher and academic. He has presented papers to many national and international conferences and contributed to a wide range of academic journals. In 2016 Bloomsbury Methuen Drama published in Theatre in Education in Britain and in 2020 his handbook on Screen Acting Skills.
