Organisations and institutions of higher education are more and more challenged by current economic, social and political conditions to react competitively and innovatively on new requirements, such as demographic change, globalisation or skilled labour shortage. In addition, universities and companies alike, have to compete for the most qualified staff. In order to produce more innovative solutions and to perform better, it is essential to integrate gender and diversity perspectives as important elements of organisational and human resources development.
