Dump Truck Dave and his smaller dump truck mates are always being teased by the larger dump trucks because of their size.

The Big Storm is the first book in the Dump Truck Dave series of children’s picture books by first-time author Mike Kaye.
Having brought up two boys, Mike noticed there was a lack of children’s picture books for preschoolers that featured diggers, dozers, and dump trucks. And such stories are what a lot of preschoolers are interested in.
To gain ideas for stories, Mike decided to go and work on a mine, driving a six-wheel-drive dump truck.
All the books in the Dump Truck Dave series will touch on such topics as bullying, gender equality, teamwork, and community.
