Issues involving autonomy and relatedness have become particularly topical. They touch on central concepts in our lives such as self-confidence and love, as well as freedom and loneliness. Prof. Dorothea Huber is a professor at the International Psychoanalytic University of Berlin. She was previously head physician in the Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy in Munich. Prof. Michael Ermann is a psychoanalyst in Berlin and Emeritus Professor of Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich.
