Alegra and Nelson, two brilliant climate science students — whom destiny enrolled at the same university in the United States and meeting initially as strangers– learn that they are from the same small Caribbean island. ALAN CAMBEIRA, born in Samaná, República Dominicana, holds an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Latin American/Caribbean Studies, and lectures regularly on cultural and socio-political issues of the region. His literary works, published in English, Spanish, and French, are standard/recommended readings in relevant college courses in the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
