Chronologically, it comes between The Hollow Needle and 813, but isn’t usually considered to be part of the Lupin series.The books features Germaine de Gournay-Martin, a snobbish daughter who belongs to a wealthy family, who is finally going to marry the penniless Jacques, Duke of Charmerace. Except Jacques is really our roguish thief, Arsene Lupin.
