Der schulische Religionsunterricht befindet sich im Umbruch: Er hat es mit einer wachsenden religiös-weltanschaulichen Heterogenität der Schüler:innen zu tun und regiert darauf – regional unterschiedlich – mit deutlichen Veränderungen in der Didaktik und den organisatorischen Rahmenbedingungen. Dies spiegelt sich in wachsenden Kompetenzerwartungen an den Beruf »Religionslehrer:in« und deren Aufbau in Studium, Referendariat und Fortbildung.

Eine Konsultation mit Teilnehmenden aus diesen drei Phasen der Lehrer:innen-Bildung hat auf Einladung des Evangelisch-Theologischen wie des Katholisch-Theologischen Fakultätentages, der Konferenz der Institute für Evangelische Theologie und der Studienreformgremien aus Universitäten und Kirchen in Geschäftsführung der Evangelischen Kirche in Deutschland im September 2022 Problemkreise und Lösungsansätze diskutiert. Der vorliegende Band dokumentiert die Beiträge und bietet so einen dichten Einblick in die anstehende Überprüfung und Neugestaltung theologisch-religionspädagogischer Bildung.



[How to become and be a Religious Education Teacher in the 21st Century. Transformation Processes in Profession and Professional Formation of RE Teachers]

Religious education in schools is in a state of upheaval. Among other things, it has to deal with a growing heterogeneity of students' religious and ideological beliefs, and is going to cope with this by means of didactic and organizational reforms. This is reflected in growing expectations regarding competencies and knowledge of »religion teachers« that need to be worked on in academic teaching, traineeship and further education.

A consultation with participants from these three stages of teacher education has discussed problems and solutions at the invitation of the Assemblies of Protestant as well as Catholic Theological Faculties (E-TFT and KTh F), the Conference of Institutes for Protestant Theology (KIET) and the mixed reform committees in management of the Protestant Church in Germany (EKD) in September 2022. This volume documents the contributions and thus offers a dense insight into the current reform of theological-religious education.
