The disconcerting reappearance of fascism in many parts of the Western world since the late twentieth century has prompted a re-evaluation of previous political assumptions. Peter Staudenmaier (1965-) professor of modern German history at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Peter’s work as a historian focuses among other things on Nazism and Fascism, the history of racial thought, and the political history of environmentalism. He has also been an active participant in the anarchist movement, the green movement, and the cooperative movement in the United States and Germany for over two decades.
