This book focuses on advances in sociology research. Chapter 1 focuses on migrant women from Albania in Greece, who are employed in the sector of domestic work. The aim of the study is to unravel the multiple effects of domestic work on the living conditions and integration of these women in the host country. Chapter 2 analyzes the Christian resistance to totalitarianism with the example of anti-communist dissidents in Slovakia. Chapter 3 discusses the failure of critical thinking to displace false but true-sounding narratives, and the ambiguity of truth. Chapter 4 explores the phenomenological structural basis of Mocombe’s consciousness field theory. Chapter 5 examines the degree of engagement and work centrality of employees who continued to work on premises versus those who switched to a hybrid mode, and those who switched to working from home during the COVID-19 crisis.
