Tambo is an elephant that has survived many challenges in her life. She was caught in a poachers trap as a baby and two children and the local villagers were there to save her (Tambo An Elephant Adventure also titled Tambo and Her Curious Adventure). Later in life she saved 4 children from a ferocious lion that was threatening the children and the herd (Tambo A Lion Adventure). Now she faces destruction of her habitat and is forced to live in a game reserve. She will face her ultimate challenge and 3 more children will help her through it! She has loved all of the children that has come into her life and she will never forget them because elephants never forget!

Melanie Kordsmeier is a retired middle school teacher and lives in Conway, Arkansas. She has been married to her husband Danny for 42 years. They have 3 children and 9 grandchildren which are all the children in her Tambo series of books. She loves elephants and always has. They are such family oriented animals with a great sense of love and protection for all in their herd.
