This book conceptualises the notion of internationalisation of education in Kazakhstan. It provides a historical overview of its emergence since the collapse of the Soviet Union and the independence of Kazakhstan in 1991. The interface of Western and post-Soviet education ideologies is deconstructed by unpacking internationalisation processes of higher education policy development, graduate experiences, culture and curriculum practices.
