Stewart Paton (1865-1942) was born in New York City. A physician and educator, he graduated from Princeton and received his M.D. from Columbia University. He founded the National Committee for Mental Hygiene. His works include Human Behavior, Psychiatry: A Text-Book for Students and Physicians, Education in War and Peace, and Prohibiting Minds and the Present Social and Economic Crisis.
