Thomas Jay Oord (Ph D, Claremont Graduate University) is professor of theology and philosophy at Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho. He has written or edited more than a dozen books, including Defining Love: A Philosophical, Scientific, and Theological Engagement.
