Albert Réville (1826-1906) was a French Protestant theologian and historian of comparative religion. Known for his radical liberal ideas, he served as a pastor of the Walloon church, in Rotterdam. He also was professor of the History of Religions at the Collége de France and one of the first to join the Dreyfusard cause, advocating for the innocent man. His writings include “Religions of Non-Civilised Peoples” and “The Chinese Religion.”
