I cannot imagine a book more needed by both pastors and [laity] right now. As a counselor to a large number of charismatic students, I have struggled to help them interpret their experiences within [an] historic, biblical context. I would like to be able to put Jensen’s book in their hands and say, ‘Read this and then let’s talk about it.’ In fact, I think this book would serve as an excellent tool for group study, not only on campus, but also in the parish.

About the author
Richard A. Jensen has a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa School of Religion, taught systematic theology at Wartburg Seminary, Dubuque, Iowa and at Luther-Northwestern Seminaries in St. Paul, and served as missionary in Ethiopia.
